  • The Kayak Lending Library is FREE! We do welcome donations, especially from folks with financial privilege, to keep the library up and running, and the kayaks and gear in good shape for the community. Visit the Donate page on our website to make a contribution.

  • Participate in a Fleet paddle at Green Anchors. All of our on-water events at Green Anchors include a Kayak Lending Library orientation. Check out the Events page to register!

  • If you used the Kayak Lending Library in 2025, you will still need to attend a Kayak Lending Library orientation for 2026. These orientations help keep our Library accessible by ensuring that everyone who uses it is fully aware of where things are and how they work; without them, we’d have to limit Library hours significantly, because we’d need more people to be onsite during Library hours. This FAQ page has information about what to do if you want to use the Library but can’t make it to a paddle.

  • If the events on our calendar don’t work with your schedule, reach out to us via email and we will try to work something out! You can reach us at mosquito@mosquitofleet.us.

  • The library is open during daylight hours, beginning May 24, 2026 (our kickoff paddle is on May 23rd; see the Events page for more info).

  • Once you have selected your kayak, be sure to grab a PFD (Personal Flotation Device), paddle and a bilge pump. PFDs with a whistle are legally required!

  • People under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Youth paddlers must attend an event +orientation with an adult. The Kayak Lending Library agreement and participation waiver must be signed by a parent or guardian.

  • Please refrain from taking boats away from Green Anchors. We ask that folks launch from and return directly to Green Anchors. The Fleet offers free public paddles in other locations - check out our upcoming events, or reach out if you have an idea for a paddle!

  • The Kayak Lending Library is first come, first serve. We ask that you always bring a buddy with you when you paddle, and feel free to paddle with a group as well! Reach out to us if you’re looking for paddle buddies that are KLL members.
