QTBIPOC Action Camp

Interested in kayaking? Interested in political art? Interested in meeting and organizing with other really rad people?

The Mosquito Fleet Collective will host the second annual Action Camp for Queer and Trans Black and Brown folks! During this three-day camp, we'll learn kayaking, art, and organizing skills and grow a QTBIPOC community centered around water justice and collective liberation. This year, we will offer three different tracks for folks to participate in: beginner kayaking, intermediate kayaking, and political art.

The beginner kayaking track is for folks newer to kayaking who are interested in building confidence on the water! Learn about kayak safety, paddling techniques, and on-water leadership.

The intermediate kayaking track is for folks who have more experience kayaking, are confident swimmers, and are excited to level up their skills. This track explores kayak safety, more advanced paddling techniques, on-water leadership, and self and assisted rescues.

The political art track is for folks interested in learning how to create and construct political art to be used on and off the water. If you’re interested in building kayak banners and flags, learning techniques such as screen and block printing, and learning leadership skills to host art builds, this is the track for you!

Save the date for Friday, July 17th to Sunday, July 19th, and be on the lookout for a follow-up email regarding your registration status and any additional info to prepare for the program.

Space is limited so we might not be able to accommodate all registrants, but there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved throughout the summer!

Fill out this form to register!

Camp registration closes June 1, 2026

Can't wait to see you there!
