COVID Policy for Trainings and Camps
To practice self and community care, we are implementing this Covid policy for Mosquito Fleet in-person training / action camp gatherings. This is a living document, and we welcome feedback from the Fleet Community. We hope to improve accessibility as we deepen our own understanding of dismantling ableism in all of its manifestations, and hope that you approach this work with the same intention!
This policy is inspired by the People’s CDC Safer In Person Gathering Guide.
Suggested Covid Safety Precautions
3-5 Days Before Training / Action Camp
Mask indoors and in crowded outdoor areas
We recommend well-fitted N-95 or KN-95 masks
If you experience any symptoms, or are exposed to someone with Covid, we recommend staying home to reduce the risk of community spread.
24-hours Before Training / Action Camp
Please take a rapid antigen test
See this link for effective testing methods (no food or drink 30 minutes before, swabbing mouth and throat, etc.)
After the Training / Action Camp
We recommend testing again when you return home, to extend this practice of care to your home community
Transparency and Open Communication
We recognize that everyone has different risk levels and practices different safety measures. Regardless of what precautions you take, we appreciate transparency and open communication about how you practice Covid safety to ensure everyone is well informed and can make decisions about their own safety and comfort levels
If you are not able to follow the suggested precautions above in advance of the training / action camp, please let the organizers know
Tests and masks can be supplied upon request
